First off
thanks for visiting our website. And
happy shopping. We are working on a
retail site that will have a
shopping cart. If you are a
wholesale customer please continue
at this site. Just send us an
EMAIL
and
you will receive a wholesale price
list that is sure to make our
wholesale competition upset.
We still want to sell at an
affordable price so that you can
afford to buy more and sell more at
better prices. Thus creating more
work for the Mayan artist. We have a
very small first order min.
We
have been exporting out of Guatemala
for over 5 glorious years. We have
made a lot of friend here in
Guatemala. We have helped
improve the living condition for
many, and helped countless children
stay in school, by keeping their
mothers working for extra income.
We see the beading coops staying
busy but the textile people are the
impoverished people. So if
jewelry is your reason to be here
think of a gift or two of some of
the finest weaving in the world, for
friends and family !!
It
amazes us when we walk the streets
of Panajachel and Santiago
Atitlan, how the styles and changes
keep happening. Some of
designs are from around the world
with bead artist's new designs that
leak into the system, but most of
them come from the Mayan's love of
color and color combinations.
As a retailer you must realize that
exact bead colors do change as the
supplies of products do change. So
please keep this in mind when
ordering specific items. We will do
the best we can with what we have to
work with. If for any reason
you are not happy just return the
unwanted item for full credit
refund. We will even pay 1/2 the
return shipping.
Bobbi and are still traveling
around in our travel trailer, but
some things changed there as well as
we just bought a new trailer and is
it ever bigger! Three feet to be
exact ! And now she has her own work
space and not sitting on our bed.
Amazing what just 3 feet can do.
Maura our
Mayan princess is now working full
time for us. This gives her more
time for finding new designs and new
artists. Her help is so
valuable to us with speaking 5
languages of which 3 of them are
Mayan dialects. We are still
having to tell her that when she is
given a price that she does not have
to try and talk them down. We
realize that there prices are very
fair and some times just too fair
and we will and do pay more than
they ask at times.
Our
travels have introduced us to new
friends and outlets in the states.
We spend part of our winters doing
bead show in the southeast. We have met some great promoters
that love beads and the bead
business. Rick and Audrey of
Down the
Street Bead Shows. And we
can not forget Bill and Kay of
AKS Gem
Shows.
